Steven McRae is Principal Dancer with The Royal Ballet and was the subject of a recent BBC documentary, Dancing Back to the Light.  The proceeds of this event will go to support both The Friends and London Children’s Ballet.

Lee Davies, Fungarium Collection Manager at The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, will present a fascinating talk on the Fungarium at Kew, its collections, and fieldwork in Madagascar.

Val Bott, curator and local historian, will give a richly illustrated talk on The Greening Family of Brentford End, Georgian Royal Gardeners.

Talk by Susan Bailes, member of the St Anne’s congregation who has given previous talks to the Friends on The Golden Age of Children’s Book Illustration in Mid-Victorian England (February 2019) and Edwardian England (April 2022).

Julia Korner is a specialist and lecturer in fine art conservation and restoration.  She will speak on the history and evolution of frames in Europe, with insights into their design, selection and gilding techniques through time, and then look at their construction, conservation and how they can transform a painting.
