Future Events for 2026 and 2027

Saturday 26th September 11am – A Match Made in Mexico: an exploration of the artwork of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera.  A talk by Susan Bailes.  The exhibition Frida: The Making of an Icon will be showing at Tate Modern from June 2026 to January 2027.

Saturday 24th October 11am – Botswana – Africa’s success story.  A talk by Canon Nicholas Darby.

Saturday 14th November 11am – 1776/2026 The American War of Independence – the First Great Media War. How newspapers destroyed British rule and saved Washington and the American Cause. A talk by George Goodwin.

Saturday 20th February 2027 11am – The Musical World of Zoffany and His Paintings. A talk by Peter Medhurst.

Saturday 13th March 2027 11am – The Saintly Scheming of Catherine of Siena and the Ruthless Englishman who Stood in her Way.  A talk by Judith May Evans based on the research for her book Burnt Siena.
