Dear Friends,
I wanted to write and thank you for your continued support to St Anne’s Church and to let you know what we have been doing recently with your help.
The big new thing is that we have employed a Verger who can help us keep St Anne’s open to everyone throughout the week. We are now open Tuesday to Saturday and have been welcoming a whole new stream of visitors. It is wonderful to be able to make this place available for all as a place of beauty and tranquility. Indeed, the Visitor’s Book is filling up with so many appreciative comments. Alongside welcoming people and showing them around, the new Verger, Glynn, is also able to spend time making the place look at its best. An extensive programme of minor repairs is now underway, things that we have needed to do for a while. And the brass has never looked shinier. The Friends have helped contribute to this, and it has made such a huge difference. Thank you.
A new path around the churchyard, allowing safe access to all, has received faculty approval and work is going to start soon. And, with your help, we have been able to install a new sound system in the church so that people who come here for various events can hear what is going on so much more easily. We couldn’t have done any of this without you.
With your support we have been able to make such a difference to this extraordinary building right at the heart of the community here in Kew. Thank you so much for being a friend to St Anne’s. It is hugely appreciated.
Best wishes,
Giles
